Questions people ask

Is membership the same as health insurance?

No. Membership is a prepaid care plan with EHS. It gives you free consultations, discounts on tests and priority access for services EHS provides. It does not replace an insurance policy for hospital admission elsewhere.

Can I join if I'm only in Uganda for a few months?

Yes. Individual membership runs month to month with one month's notice to cancel, so it suits a research placement, a semester or a field season. Teams can be covered on a Corporate contract.

Can EHS come to my home, office or school?

Yes. Choose "Home or office" or "Company or school" when you book and add the address. A nurse or clinician will confirm the visit with you.

How do I pay?

We accept Mobile Money and bank transfer. Payment details come with your confirmation. Corporate and school contracts are invoiced monthly.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Mental health care is led by our psychiatrist, Dr. Nakanwangi Fatuma Ali. What you share stays between you and your clinician.

What should I do in an emergency?

Call +256 703 315 347. Don't use the booking form and don't wait for a confirmation.
